Cell Phone Use May Help Prevent Alzheimer's

Doctors at the Florida Alzheimer's Disease Research Center in Tampa say using cell phones may actually protect against and even reverse Alzheimer's Disease. Dozens of mice were exposed to cell phone radiation for two hours a day over a seven to nine months, and in mice genetically programmed to develop Alzheimer's disease, memory and thinking skills were protected.

The original focus of using mice was actually to determine if exposure to cell phone radiation advanced the disease in humans but researchers say the results of the study were unexpected. For mice who were already beginning to show symptom's of the disease, memory impairment disappeared.

While the benefits may seem to outweigh the risks of electro-magnetic exposure, recent controversy linking cell phone use to brain cancer is an argument some researchers have made over the years.
